Exorcism / Luke Lee
"Cult-like" Pastor/Exorcist Sentenced
Charismatic pastor Luke Lee, convicted of murder for strangling [the apparently unrelated] Joanna Lee during an exorcism, has been sentenced to six years in prison by a New Zealand court. A High Court Justice said he is concerned that Lee's "charisma, and the cult-like sway you hold on your followers, suggest that when you are released from prison, you will continue to
be a risk to the public." Lee, who has neither accepted guilt nor expressed remorse, maintained, through a Korean interpreter, that he was doing God's work and that the dead woman will yet be resurrected. (One News, 12/20/01, Internet)
